GENÇ KÜLTÜR KART’S MÜZİK HACKATHON, TÜRKİYE’S FIRST, KEEPS INSPIRING YOUNG PEOPLE!

Young talents showed off their skills, competing for a place, at the fourth edition of the Müzik Hackathon — Türkiye’s first awards-based music hackathon — organised by Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Genç Kültür Kart.
Young talents took the stage at the 4th Müzik Hackathon, organised by Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Genç Kültür Kart The Müzik Hackathon, which sets out to discover and support Türkiye’s young musical talent, was held for the fourth time this year at Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi’s Atmosfer Bosna Gençlik Merkezi. Led by Genç Kültür Kart, the event brought university students with a passion for music together under one roof.
Over 42 uninterrupted hours, participants wrote their own songs in workspaces set aside so they could experience the whole music-making process first-hand. Each group worked on both lyrics and composition in its own room, and every group also got an hour in a professional studio to try out live performances and develop its track.
The event, Türkiye’s first music-themed hackathon, drew strong interest again this year. It closed with a jury evaluation that decided the award winners.
The band Tekyön won the Jury Special Prize with their song “Derin”.
The band Ahenk won the Best Group Performance Award with their rendition of “Neden”.
The band Kesit took the Best Lyrics Award for “Eski Bir Şarkı”.
The band Portreler won the Best Music Award with their composition “Geçmişine Hükümlü”.
Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Genç Kültür Kart said it will keep opening up new spaces where young people who love music can express themselves, and announced plans to grow the Müzik Hackathon with even wider participation in the years ahead.
